Naknamheon, Hwaseong Haenggung

A modern version of the Yangnoyeon (Banquet for the Elderly), inspired by King Jeongjo’s 1795 banquet at Hwaseong Haenggung to celebrate his mother Lady Hyegyeong-gung Hong’s 60th birthday and honor elders over 60. It is a symbolic program that revives King Jeongjo’s spirit of filial piety (hyo) and respect for the elderly in the present day. (Registration opens on August 11)
