This event is inspired by the special sedan chairs such as 'Jagunggagyo' and 'Yuokgyo' that King Jeongjo prepared for his mother, Lady Hyegyeong-gung Hong. In this unique race, citizens carry sedan chairs and run! It is a signature citizen-participatory program of the Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival, where history’s filial piety meets cheerful challenges.
